GREAT FOOD, STAFF and AMBIENCEVisited The Three Crowns at Askett for the first time on 22/01/10 at lunch time. had a delicious meal that was very good value £11.00 for starter and main. We were greeted by a charming man who looked after us through out our meal. Only down side is that the parking is very limited. Will be visiting again in the near future.

An impressive meal from an extensive menuWe were greeted by the charming Maitre D' when I visited this restaurant last month with my cousin. We had a delicious meal which was very good value for money. We both had scallops as a starter with slices of orange, chard & dressing I chose duck magret with sambuca jus, crushed potatoes, carrots, baby sweetcorn and broccoli. I especially liked the small tart which came on the side, filled with onion marmalde figs and warm goat's cheese. The bill for two starters, two main courses and a bottle of wine was around £50. I have eaten out in this area a number of times but my meal on this occasion almost persuaded me to move from the North of England so I could dine more frequently!
askett, three crowns, extensive menu, great service
