  1. Property Repair Ltd

    Rubbish customer service

Property Repair recently did some work fixing my kitchen ceiling that had been damaged by a leak from the flat above. I agreed in advance with this company (in particular with their contracts manager) that they would invoice my upstairs neighbour, who had caused the leak into my flat. (My neighbour had decided not to claim on the insurance as it was not worth it, so he was paying directly). The company did the work (to a low standard - they did not remove the light fitting when plastering and painting), and then I did not hear from them for two months. Then, out of the blue I got an email threatening court action if I did not pay up. At this point neither I nor my neighbour had been sent an invoice. I called them immediately, and reminded them that they had agreed to invoice my neighbour. They seemed fine with that. Then two days later I got another threatening email and a call from a debt collection company, and when I phoned Property Repair again I was told that they could not possibly invoice anyone other than me, and that this had never been the agreement. Later they amended this claim to, "our contracts manager did not have the authority to make this agreement”. They refuse to send the invoice to my neighbour despite having agreed this. I have assured them that they will definitely be paid, and yet they are commencing legal action. I am outraged by their heavy handed behaviour, and refusal to deal with my quite reasonable request that they invoice my neighbour as they agreed to do.
